Our Story
Who Is Top 1 Roofing?
Top 1 Roofing is a family-owned roofing contractor founded in Edison, New Jersey in 2009. We replace, repair and maintain residential and commercial roofs across Central New Jersey with our own trained crews, premium materials, fixed written pricing and a 10-year workmanship warranty on every full roof replacement.
Our founder, Michael Russo, spent years on roofing crews watching homeowners get oversold, rushed and left with messy yards. He started Top 1 Roofing to do the opposite: tell people the truth about their roof, do the work right the first time and treat every property like our own.
Today our team includes four full installation crews, dedicated project managers and a customer care team that keeps you informed from the first call to the final walkthrough.
What makes us different:
- We never use subcontractors
- Every estimate comes with roof photos
- One project manager from start to finish
- 24/7 emergency response for our customers

What New Jersey Homeowners Say About Us
Hundreds of families and business owners trust Top 1 Roofing with the most important part of their property. Here is what a few of them had to say.
4.9
Based on 280+ verified reviews
From the first inspection to the final cleanup, Top 1 Roofing was professional and on time. Our new roof went on in a single day and the crew left the yard spotless.
We had a leak around the chimney during a nor'easter. They came out the same evening, tarped it, and rebuilt the flashing two days later. Not a drop since.
They walked us through every shingle option and the price never changed. The estimate was detailed, honest and lower than two other companies we called.
